It is so sad when a client decides to take the easy way out and quit coaching! They give up because it's hard work. Though they seem to want to transform their lives, the fear of change is so monumental that very little if any change really happens. I understand, transformation takes time and it's scary but it also takes determination, desire and courage!
I am emphatic before I begin working with a new coaching client that they must be willing to give me 100%. They have to listen to what I say and use the tools I give them because I cannot do this for them. Equine Assisted Life Coaching is all about my horses and I guiding you through the obstacles that block you. We help you discover your truth, forgive people in your life and forgive yourself. But we cannot do any of this successfully if you allow your ego and fear to run the show.
Thankfully, my clients usually are eager to learn and shed their old skin, habits and limiting beliefs. They work hard, they crack themselves open, they cry, yell, forgive and learn to receive. Then, they learn to trust. We walk a new path. We plan goals and get ready to step into the unknown with a new belief system an open heart and the confidence to live a happier life full of possibilities. But I have learned that even I have to remember to just "Let it go", when people cannot or will not do the work required. People that will not take ownership, are too wrapped up into being right unfortunately lose the most. They lose the possibility of growth, of learning how to love and how to give it. They lose the chance of saving a marriage, or any significant relationship and saddest of all, they lose themselves eventually all together because that ego will take them into a rabbit hole so deep and dark, they may never be able to find their way out. This is a client I hate to lose. The ones that are stuck in victim mode and cannot give it up. The ones that look for reasons to be offended.
Don't take the easy way out of your own personal growth. You are only cheating yourself.
Do the hard work to transform your life and walk thru the fire. When you are on the other side you will turn around and see how far you have come and how much you have grown and then, you will be proud of yourself.
